Chaco does it again This is my second pair of Chaco sandals and probably my favorite of the two. My other pair is a Z1 Unaweep. While it is one of best sandals I have owned, the Z1 Yampa has a few features I like better. The vibram sole on the Yampa doesn’t collect as much dirt and debris as the Unaweep. Also I enjoy the web designs on the Yampa more than the Unaweep. The durability and support these sandals provide are reason enough to give them a try. But either way you go you won’t be disappointed, I know I haven’t.

Chaco Z/1 Yampa Sandal Men’s Black size 8 great fit, comfortable, wear immediately.. the straps were a little long. I choose to wear mens Chaco’s because I have a heel spur, and the men’s Chaco heel bed is thicker. I don’t go anywhere without Chaco’s on my feet 🙂

Newest sole. If you aren’t a Chaco wearer this sandal has the newest sole in Chaco’s line-up. It is lighter weight than both the Pro and Vibram soles, The shoe preforms alright in both wet and dry conditions. The multi-colored sole and the lightweight are this soles benefits. The webbing strap is a single line that weaves through the whole shoe except for the heel. The webbing is 1 inch wide and endures much wear and tear. I love my Yampas but I have noticed that the sole has worn faster than my other pairs. I feel that this shoe seems to work well all around but doesn’t truly excel in either distance wear or water wear. The Vibram sole is a way durable hiking sandal and the Pro sole is a very soft rubber that works great in rivers and slick-rock conditions. Overall, I think they are a great product but not worth all five stars because they seem to be moderate at two tasks while the other chacos excel at water/hiking wear.
